This year was my first time working on a 48 Hour Film team. For those unfamiliar with the 48 Hour Film premiss, teams are assigned a genre, prop, character name and occupation and then asked to create a short film in – you guessed it – only 48 hours. It is truly a daunting and a nearly impossible task, but I think that is it’s allure. It is definitely a place to demonstrate your creativity, overall skill, and ability to work with a team and under pressure.
I am very proud to have been asked to be a part of Team Some Pulp, working as the Production Designer and Costumer, which was made even more fun by having the opportunity to film at the 13th Gate in Baton Rouge. We created a short film titled, “Snapped,” which, in a nutshell, is a Christmas Carol sort of romp with a modern comedic-horror twist.
